Kieran Culkin unintentionally became the star of a couple's special day recently.
It started as a casual walk around New York City's Central Park, but the famous actor accidentally photobombed a wedding photoshoot taking place, which led to the Internet buzzing over the unexpected cameo.
The photos were originally taken and posted by Stephanie Naru, a NYC-based wedding photographer, on Instagram on Wednesday. On the last slide of the 18-photo carousel, fans can see the actor in the corner wearing a black T-shirt and sweatpants, looking directly at the camera.
"In the last frame, you’ll see Kieran Culkin photobomb J&D in one of their photos on the Central Park mall," Naru wrote toward the end of the Instagram caption. "only in NY. ❤️."
The photo was then reposted by @hosseinisgeckos on X, a fan account dedicated to the Home Alone actor on Friday, which made its way around the Internet.

People on social media couldn’t stop talking about Culkin’s surprise cameo, turning the unexpected photobomb into a viral moment almost instantly.

The 42-year-old began his career as a child actor in off-Broadway theater productions, then appeared alongside his brother Macaulay Culkin in films like The Good Son and Home Alone in the 1990s and early 2000s. As an adult, he built a strong career with standout roles in movies such as Igby Goes Down and Scott Pilgrim vs. the World.
More recently, his portrayal of Roman Roy in Succession has been widely praised by fans and critics, plus he won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance as a grief-stricken cousin in A Real Pain.
From March to June of this year, Culkin returned to the stage as Richard Roma in Glengarry Glen Ross on Broadway, sharing the spotlight with Bob Odenkirk and Bill Burr in a revival of David Mamet’s Pulitzer Prize-winning play. He is also set to take on the iconic role of Caesar Flickerman in The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping, the prequel to the blockbuster franchise, slated for a Nov. 20, 2026, release.
