Ice Cube is reacting to Selena Gomez recently naming him as her childhood crush

Ice Cube was already aware of Selena Gomez's childhood crush on him.
After the Rare Beauty founder, 32, recently opened up about having "the biggest crush" on Ice Cube, 56, as a child in a conversation with Karol G on Complex’s GOAT Talk, the N.W.A rapper responded to her comments in a new interview on the 3’s and Ones podcast.
“A lot of ‘em like me, homie,” said the Friday actor, whose real name is O'Shea Jackson. “What? What's up? I heard this years ago. Look, I had my crushes too growing up.”
Ice Cube then revealed one of his crushes: Vanity from Prince's Vanity 6 group. But that's not all. "I had about four," he explained.
Gomez's initial comment came as she and Karol G, 34, were discussing their G.O.A.T. (Greatest of All Time) rappers.

“One of mine was Eminem only because I grew up listening to him,” she said. “My dad was a DJ, so he would remix all kinds of songs, and every time it was an Eminem song, I would just get so excited.”
“Can I tell you my first one that I had a crush on, Ice Cube?” continued Gomez. “I had the biggest crush on him when I was, like, 5.”
She explained, “It’s so weird, but I just thought he would protect me.”
“I’m only saying it simply based on my childhood,” concluded the "Lose You to Love Me" artist.

Gomez's romantic life didn't exactly go how she thought it would as a child. She's now with fiancé Benny Blanco, and they announced their engagement in December 2024.
In an interview on Australia's Today show last month, Blanco, 37, revealed they don't have a wedding date yet — but one celebrity is already guaranteed to attend the nuptials: Ed Sheeran.
"I just told him, I was like I'm going to have a wedding and you're going to come to the wedding," said the music producer. "Eventually Ed will come to our wedding when we do have one, but unfortunately, we have not scheduled one yet. But we will."
